Everything was fine

After four years of unsuccessful attempts to get pregnant, we decided to seek medical help. We learned about Dr. Colin Lee Soon-soo from a friend of mine. After consulting with Dr. Lee, I was told that I had been diagnosed with progressive endometriosis (stage IV). There is no doubt that the chances of pregnancy with endometriosis are significantly reduced. In women like me, the probability of conception in a normal cycle is less than 1%. I have had two laparoscopies since 2010. In 2011, Dr. Colin proposed intrauterine insemination (IUD), a procedure that involves placing my husband's sperm directly into my uterus to receive fertilization. After the second attempt, I finally got pregnant, but unfortunately I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks. We had another attempt at IUI, but again it failed. I was extremely devastated by my infertility question. At the beginning of 2012, Dr. Lee suggested that we try IVF. We agreed, and therefore my injections of a stimulating drug began. I can get about 20 eggs extracted on the day of egg collection. 3 days later I was told that I had 12 embryos of good quality, and on the same day 3 embryos of the best quality were transferred into my womb. The remains of 9 embryos were frozen. Unfortunately, my beta HCG was negative on day 14. We did not lose hope and continued 2 more cycles of frozen embryo transfer (FET). Unfortunately, both cycles also failed. We still have 3 frozen embryos left, and I told my husband: "Let's try the last cycle of conception, if it fails again, we will decide whether to go for adoption." Finally!! 2 weeks after the 3rd cycle of pregnancy, I had positive beta-HCG! I was pregnant!! I am now 3 months pregnant with Singleton! Both my husband and I were overjoyed, remembering all the pain we went through. Thanks to the Alpha Fertility Center, doctors and staff who have been with us all this time.

The lack of one star is still the reason for the initial experience, but I have returned twice after the first visit, and so far the experience has been pretty smooth and painless!

Absolutely shitty booking system - we waited FOUR HOURS, despite making an appointment, and didn't even get to the doctor.

1) Ridiculous booking system. I tried to call them for 3 days in a row, and no one picked up the phone. Finally, Whatsapped them, but the response was very slow, and the next day I had to encourage them to "confirm" my appointment

2) I am absolutely sure that the meeting was not recorded in the system, because when I arrived at the center, the administrator had to ask which number I used Whatsapped, and took my phone from me to confirm that I was really talking to someone.

3) He told me to come 2 hours before the scheduled time to conduct some tests, but I saw the nurse for only 5 minutes, who had just recorded my data. I spent the rest of my time in the clinic just waiting.

I finished leaving because I was so sick of it. What's the point of bragging about being the most advanced IVF center in Malaysia if you can't even get the basics right?

Thanks to the representation of relatives, I came to Alpha for treatment. The atmosphere here is very comfortable, there are professional doctors and nurses-embryologists. They make sure that I understand the treatment process and make the correct injection. I would also like to thank the embryologist who took care of my embryos for patiently updating the progress and answering my questions, which gave me a special peace of mind. I was recently notified that I have 2 embryos to transfer. I hope everything will be fine.

Reading their websites and Google reviews, we decided to choose Alpha IVF because of their achievements and technologies, despite the fact that they are slightly more expensive than other centers of reproductive medicine.
Dr. Tan was patient and found out what our problems were. I have a low supply of eggs and my husband's sperm count is low. He explained to us and made an individual IVF plan for us. The nurse who served us taught me how to do injections and explained to us all the IVF procedures. She helps me a lot.
I had 5 eggs collected, and the embryologist told us that all the eggs were fertilized. Throughout the treatment, we regularly received information about the progress of our treatment. 4 eggs became good embryos, and the embryologist told us that they removed some of the cells from 4 embryos for genetic screening, and then 4 embryos were frozen. About a week later, a geneticist called us and informed us that 2 embryos were normal, and 2 others were abnormal. Their lab reports were so detailed and exhaustive.
The nurse arranged for us to meet with Dr. Tan and plan the transfer of frozen embryos. On the day of embryo transfer, Dr. Tan suggests that we place 1 embryo. We followed Dr. Tan's recommendation and placed 1 embryo in my uterus. After 2 weeks, we returned to the clinic in the morning to take a blood test to check if I was pregnant. We were told that the result would be in the afternoon. We didn't have high hopes after going through so many negative experiences with the stick.
After lunch, we went back to Dr. Tan, and Dr. Tan said "congratulations"!! I cried with joy. We were delighted. We would like to thank Dr. Tan, the nurses, embryologists, geneticists and the entire Alpha IVF staff for turning our hope into joy. We couldn't thank you all enough.
