In the middle of 2020, I had LASIK done on both eyes. My current recipe without a visual aid is 120% :-)
At first, I never really thought about whether to climb my eyes, as I always got along well with contact lenses. But for some reason my eyes were getting drier and drier, so I could wear lenses less and less at a time.
Just at the beginning of the Corona crisis, I finally got tired of dry eyes, and then - on the recommendation of a work colleague - I called Care Vision without further ado and immediately agreed on a combined appointment (consultation + preliminary examination). If I remember correctly, it was for 2 or 3 weeks.
The preliminary inspection at the end of May was well organized, despite the Corona, with a short waiting time and very pleasant staff. The eye check is also very professional and almost like on a conveyor belt ... and a lot of tests are being conducted. I also found the doctor's advice very neutral, and I never had the impression that he wanted to sell me anything. The actual date of the operation was agreed directly at the preliminary examination, then it was the beginning of June. Again, everything was professional again, and there was no waiting time worth mentioning.
The operation itself went quickly. Roughly speaking: 30 min. Preparation + 5 min. Eye surgery + 15 min. Relaxation. I underwent my first follow-up examination on the same day, about 2 hours after the operation. It's all good. On the day of the operation, your eyes are still itchy, and you voluntarily drip different eye drops into your eyes every quarter of an hour (according to plan!). I woke up the day after the surgery and it seemed like nothing had happened. There is no itching. No scratches. Look sharp.
Then a few more weeks after the drip schedule, put drops in your eyes (there are fewer of them from week to week), and all the fun will end again.
By the way, I've never been afraid. Boys and girls know exactly what they are doing, and they did it very well with me.
By the way, the cost of LASIK per eye was 1100 euros. In addition, there are about 60 euros for medicines + 40 euros for a preliminary examination. For comparison, the price here is really good. However, here you need to pay in advance. I would do it there again anytime!
