"Klinik Bavaria" in the Dresden suburb of Kreischa is a real palace of medicine. The clinic has more than 165 years of history, and in its modern form it has been operating since 1992. In 1999, a major reconstruction of the complex of buildings was completed. Today, on a huge territory, there are 12 departments that accept patients of any age:

My father felt very comfortable here. Everyone, be it a doctor, medical staff, therapist, kitchen staff or a cleaner, has always been friendly and helpful. I can judge this strictly, but after my first visit to a patient who does not speak after a stroke, I cannot report anything positive.Unfortunately, I did not receive any information from the guardian even after repeated questions and conversations with various nurses, and questions about the patient's condition were simply ignored. To be honest, I was disappointed.
For some reason it seemed to me that I was visiting a prison. I can't imagine that someone on the part of the clinic staff wants to be treated like this if it affects him.

With today's knowledge, we would never have brought our father to this clinic for "rehabilitation".
There were a few small bright spots with nurses and nurses in the care, but also a lot of shadows.
Undoubtedly, there are many who have had a good experience, but it's not us, and it still touches me 10 months after my stay.

After all these years, I would finally like to comment on my stay at the clinic in Bavaria. I arrived in Kreisha at the end of November after a very serious accident (in November 2001) after being in a coma in Jena for three weeks. I would like to express my greatest praise to the staff there because after a 4-month stay they brought me back to life so far away that I could continue my follow-up therapy from home... so that I can again participate to a large extent in today's life. I came to them as a 100% patient because I had a skull fracture and a traumatic brain injury. The consequences of this accident were that I could not walk, eat or talk. The therapists did their best to help me get back on my feet. From a wheelchair to a roller and, eventually, to a walking stick so that I could leave the clinic with it. But not only that, no, the food also had to be cooked again. From packaged food to solid food, which, unfortunately (or fortunately) was mashed. At that time, I also started with speech therapy, which I continued for another 3 years after discharge. In the following years, I developed physically and mentally to such an extent that I then decided to become a medic. I did it and I am proud to say that I am glad to be able to help other people, because everyone can get into such a situation, and he is grateful when there are people in social professions. I would like to express my gratitude to all the medical staff of the Bavaria Kreisch clinic for the fact that my son, confined to a wheelchair after a spinal injury, was able to get back on his feet. Thanks to a three-month rehabilitation course, he began to learn to walk again and finally got rid of the worst depression, he had an incentive. At home, we will definitely try to consolidate the result by doing all the recommended exercises.

Physiotherapists are especially good. You helped me "get back on my feet" in the literal sense of the word in an unimaginably short time.
In general, I am very satisfied.

My father-in-law was there for "rehabilitation" after a cardiovascular arrest, and as a result of brain damage caused by lack of oxygen, which also had to be ventilated. The clinic is constantly promoting its experience in this area in all media.
When there was a draft, he was left with the window open for a long time to freeze. The toothbrush we gave him and handed over to the nurses was still wrapped in film a week later. During our visits, we were busy removing old blood-soaked tampons that the staff had apparently forgotten. The obvious neglect increased from visit to visit, and the measures promised at the beginning were full-fledged, and the rehabilitation goals associated with them could not be felt. We brought him home 4 weeks later in a much worse condition than we were delivered there.
When there was a draft, he was left with the window open for a long time to freeze. The toothbrush we gave him and handed over to the nurses was still wrapped in film a week later. Many years ago I got into an accident. My leg was badly damaged, the doctors then did everything possible so that I would not remain disabled. But now, already in old age, the old trauma makes itself felt more and more often. Last year I was visiting my daughter in Dresden, and she and her husband offered me to take a rehabilitation course at the Bavaria Kreisch clinic. Of course, the prices for a Russian pensioner are considerable, but the children helped me with finances. I liked everything in the clinic: both the treatment and the attitude of the staff. And, the main thing is that I began to feel much better.
I was with my daughter for 6 months (skiing accident), of which one month was in a vegetative state.
The best doctors also instruct the nurses in each ward, where we were just great, and we were there in three wards.
The therapists are great, my daughter can now run great again and is in good mental shape again..... You've done a great job.

The hospital school deserves special attention. My son went to school with enthusiasm for the first time.
There is a stellar deduction for the fact that on-site Internet is available only in two Internet terminals for a fairly large fee.
Due to its location in rural areas, only data transmission from Vodafone and Telekom is possible in mobile communications. Using O2 makes phone calls, data transfers are hardly possible.
However, especially as a companion, a person relies on an internet connection with such a long stay.
Also with food, I would subtract a point.
Especially in the evening, almost nothing changes in the dining room. Preferably a little more quality instead of quantity and a little more fresh ingredients.
A beautifully equipped children's polyclinic, a buffet at the entrance and a playroom for children with a slide, a playground in the complex, a fireplace and a run with rabbits, after visiting we also learned about the equipment and management system of the polyclinic. Definitely a beautiful institution, and on the opposite hill there is a clinic for adult patients.
