Clinic specialization
The Evangelical Hospital Waldkrankenhauswas founded in 1945 and it is a multidisciplinary medical institution. The clinic specializes in the following areas:
-
oncology;
-
vascular surgery;
-
general surgery;
-
visceral surgery;
-
gynecology;
-
adolescent medicine;
-
traumatology and orthopedics.
A distinctive feature of the Waldcrankenhaus Hospital is the combination of modern technology and advanced treatment methods. The clinic tries to perform operations with maximum preservation of the organ. This feature can be observed during surgical interventions in cancer patients. For example, in breast surgeries, doctors try to minimize the removal of breast areas, or the patient is offered simultaneous reconstructive plastic surgery in the case of an extensive mastectomy. The treatment of cancer patients is one of the leading areas of work in the clinic. Doctors annually carry out not only a large number of operations, but also provide services for rehabilitation treatment, rehabilitation of cancer patients. Oncologists of the clinic regularly take part in international specialized forums, where they exchange experience and gain new knowledge from colleagues from other countries. Specialists of the clinic conduct treatment based not only on their experience, but also attract colleagues from other medical institutions for cooperation. This approach allows them to increase significantlythe effectiveness of medical measures and help a large number of patients. The location of the clinic is also worth mentioning. The picturesque Spandau district of Berlin and its proximity to the city center are an additional plus for patients and their relatives.

I literally put my life and the life of the child into Galina's hands, and I relaxed and enjoyed myself. That's such a pleasant egoism, when you don't need to worry about anything, control and feel like in the first year of medical school.
And no one, and never, and nowhere is trying to take a newborn. And there are no unpleasant odors, no one undresses you in the dressing room, does not sanitize your husband. Half-naked women in labor who look like a shadow do not walk along the corridors. They came on their own feet, brought all the things, turned on their music (if you don't want to, don't). Everything is arranged so that there is no discomfort, no humiliating procedures. My husband, and if necessary, my mother is always there. ... And here he is - a child! And now, it's hot on your cold stomach. And, apparently, it does not lie for a second, since I felt this moment and physically remembered it. And in a moment he is already examined and dressed (not swaddled) at the chest. And that's it! Now to the ward for 2, which can be redeemed for 60 euros per day, and be there alone, with her husband, with her mother, with her mother-in-law (if she is lucky with her mother-in-law). Or not to buy and share a room with a neighbor and a neighbor's child.
Every day a pediatrician comes to the ward, who carries a cart in front of him. It has everything, even a computer. No one is recording anything. They issue a child's passport, into which all the information is pasted with a slight movement of the hand, and crosses are put. In general, they write something down, but in such a way that it is imperceptible and does not take time (our doctors and nurses, like clerks under Peter I, are very annoying). They give out a vaccination plan designed exclusively for your child, so you do not need to puzzle over how to live on.
And in the morning, women go, pushing a ditch in front of them, for breakfast. It's funny to see how they share their impressions, laugh, and the children lie peacefully in front of them. And relatives, older brothers and sisters of newborns, friends come with bouquets all day long. They have the right to enter the ward. The clinic has vases in huge quantities. At the beginning of May, I watched as relatives, a mother and a child who was put in a stroller went for a walk. Because it's not a prison. Everyone is enjoying life. And lo and behold! No one has staphylococcus.
I remembered a funny episode... When I gave birth to my second child there, on the second day after giving birth, there was a changing of the guard - I sent my husband to my one-and-a-half-year-old daughter home, and called my mother to me. We were just about to go to sleep with her when a girl came and asked me if I wanted to do gymnastics? Now this proposal seems even more absurd after the Moscow birth. I didn't want to offend her, I agreed. And my mother fell asleep to envy me. The coach was happy, told me that all the German women in the department refused her offer, because they were "kaput", and asked why I was not "kaput"? (... I have no time to feel sorry for myself. And in my veins is all the power of the Russian people, who defeated just these Germans.) It turned out that German women not only do not want to do gymnastics in the maternity hospital, but also call nurses to change diapers by pressing a button. And they run to them, because that's how it's supposed to be!
I can talk about everything for a very long time. I will say one thing - I enjoyed my stay at the Waldfried clinic. There was nothing negative to somehow reduce the degree of positivity.
And as soon as the milk came, Galina miraculously reappeared, and again did everything for me. From now on, I was required to feed every 3 hours to ignite the fire of gluttony, and the child was required to eat and eat at least a kilogram in the first month. She is a living textbook, she conveys all knowledge in a concentrated way. After the first birth, I was like a Special forces fighter. Therefore, the following immediately followed. Soon Moscow happened, here I gave birth to a third. "And the raptures are tired, and the inevitable prose is heard.".. I would like to give birth again, but there is no Galina and the Waldfriede clinic with all German medicine at its head.
In the postpartum department, however, I did not feel at home, I had to take care of me, and many employees were very cheerful. Absolutely impossible, especially with mothers right after giving birth.
I can recommend childbirth in this clinic from the delivery room to discharge, everything went fine!!
I got my baby 4 weeks earlier, but everything worked very simply, I had a great midwife, and I always wanted to have a baby here. The children's department was also great when we were there, because of his jaundice. There is a breast pump on site and a refrigerator where you can also store milk. All in one great hospital
The sisters are fine, but the four men are fine.
unusual, and then also 5 stars.
The second impression is also good. Bright, clean, double room with an area of about 15 square meters, small TV cabinets, refrigerator. Enough water and tea are provided.
However, cleaning the room leaves much to be desired. The cleaner of ward 26, period 28.10. until November 16, does a very bad job. She cleans the surface of the room with a damp cloth. Everything that has fallen to the ground remains there. And if it somehow works because the patients are out of the room or asleep, then there is no cleaning at all.
Food comes from Paul's kitchen - see their reviews.
I feel good from a medical point of view.
Unfortunately, my mouse had a patch made around his leg, but after that he was still treated very well in pediatric orthopedics for several weeks. Many thanks to Dr. Goetz and her Pediatric Orthopedics team (6 stars in pediatric orthopedics) !!! :)
