Federal Center of Cardiovascular Surgery in Chelyabinsk (Russia)

The Federal Center of Cardiovascular Surgery was founded in 2010 as a part of the “Health” federal project to provide high-tech medical care to patients with cardiac problems.
The main goal of the Center is to improve the quality of life of patients who suffer from cardiovascular diseases through effective surgical treatment and rehabilitation programs.
The four cardiac surgery departments of the center performing the following operations:

• surgical treatment of coronary heart disease;
• combined operations on the heart, main and coronary arteries;
• surgical treatment and correction of heart pathology;
• removal of tumors and foreign bodies of the heart;
• surgical treatment of cardiac arrhythmias;
• radiofrequency ablation;
• implantation of pacemakers;
• pediatric cardiac surgery.

Center’s medical specialists conducting everyday research in cardiology and cardiac surgery make it possible for both adult and young patients to receive effective treatment for even the most complex cardiovascular diseases.
Center has 8 high-tech operating rooms equipped with open-heart surgery medical hardware and X-ray surgical equipment. All operating rooms equipped with modular systems for supplying a laminated stream of sterile air, blood-saving devices, and endoscopic hardware for performing minimally invasive operations on heart valves.
