 Motol Clinic in Prague is the largest medical facility in the Czech Republic. This is a university hospital, on the basis of which postgraduate students and students of Charles University, the 2nd Medical faculty, are trained. This gives patients access to treatment with the latest technologies and drugs. The SAK certificate awarded to the clinic means that the Czech Accreditation Commission has checked more than 90 criteria and found no violations. The medical facility consists of 59 specialized units, including both for children and adults. For children, there are 12 of them, for adults there are more than 20. In addition, there are 13 narrow-profile departments, including:

  • transplantology;

  • reproductive medicine;

  • sports medicine;

  • visual impairment center;

  • children's cardiology center.

The clinic has all the conditions for a comfortable stay. These are single or double rooms with a TV, a bathroom, and adjustable beds. There is a convenient car park, including the one for people with disabilities. A tour guide and an interpreter are also available. During the reconstruction of one of the buildings, a helipad was equipped here, allowing the patient to be delivered to the department very quickly. Outpatients and their accompanying people can stay in a hotel located within walking distance. At the same time, the prices for treatment in Prague are much lower than in clinics in Germany or Israel.

I'm sure there are a lot of very good people working here, but in my experience, the lady behind the counter for foreigners was actually, in my opinion, a disgrace to the hospital. Saying that the medical staff was professional, and that was a few months ago, but I'm still very worried about it.In my opinion, I would urge the undoubtedly hardworking and professional management team to calmly watch the receptionist talking to all foreigners (I am British and she was unpleasant to me and even worse with a perfectly polite Russian person behind me). I respect all the people working here, but I would prefer this woman to work in another more suitable place - she would be good for fighting football hooligans or something like that, but not as an administrator in a hospital with such a high reputation.

The best department for foreigners and the organization of this, the Vinohrady Hospital and the military hospital. Doctors and nurses are decent, don't shout, and they have decent bedside manners. A capable emergency department.
My wife recently gave birth in Motola, and she was impressed by the courtesy and service of the staff, although it was difficult for her to communicate with some nurses, but overall she was the best. Thank you, Nemocnice Motol team, you are the best.
Pure nightmare. I arrived from Bangkok with a high temperature, so the next morning I went to Motol. They let me wait 6 hours and told me I would wait forever because fever is not a reason to be treated by a doctor. Even I explained to them that I came from Asia. They did not give me advice to visit a special clinic for exotic diseases, even if it is located in Prague, where you can go at any time (I found out about this later from a therapist). I had to leave Motol without being examined by a doctor. I actually had dengue fever . Very dangerous. If I got sick with some kind of exocytosis infection spreading through the air, there would be a chance to arrange a small epidemic in time, I would have to wait in vain in the waiting room. An unprofessional backward ignorant person.
I came to the emergency room with a headache that lasted more than a month, and I was so dizzy that even a stupid subway ride became hell for me. I got to the office within 20 minutes, where I received a speech and a scolding from a doctor (most likely it was a doctor, she didn't introduce herself to me), what I was doing there, that they wouldn't do anything to me anyway and would send me to make an appointment at the clinic. (Waiting time, 1-3 months).

It's their willingness to help when you're sick.
According to the information in the emergency department, the lady should change her profession. Ideally, one where he does not come into contact with people. I've never had such an unpleasant relationship. They can't help but worry. The lady, a foreigner, came with abdominal pains, they did not want to help her and would prefer to send her to another place. They asked why she doesn't go to her doctor and that emergency care is only from 19 o'clock (it's 8.40 now, and emergency care is 24 hours), so should she wait and worry? I show them the Czech insurance card. Well, I just wanted to ask you where to print the serial number. It was an almost superhuman request.
Today I had an emergency with the children. In fact, it was terrible, Dr. Barbara Yanikova was very unpleasant and unprofessional. She couldn't even communicate. I really don't recommend it. And, of course, a long waiting time. You'd better avoid this place for about 1.5 hours!
I sit there for an hour with number 25 while they took number 18,26,30 for treatment. There are doctors and nurses at the door, but for some unknown reason they make me wait. I was here once with a bruised head. They left me waiting for about an hour, there were about 5 people in the waiting room. The blood rushed to my face, but they were calm, I had a handkerchief with me. An hour later, the laughing nurse came out with coffee in her hand and went somewhere to the complex. After a while I was invited in, and lo and behold, the doctor was there with my nurse and coffee. Unfortunately, I haven't figured out the local waiting system yet. You probably need to have friends here for everything to work fine.

PS .: The Doctor gave me hope back. She was very helpful and professional. I mean, it was worth the wait.

PPS .: I already understand the expectation, 150 kronor for parking at the tankodrome. With the fact that I drove around the neighborhood for a quarter of an hour and was looking for a place. Splendor
I have been here 4 times with an urgent request for help, always with a different problem. The first time I was refused in the emergency department to see that I was hit by a Bulovka (now I live in Smikhov, so I hoped that the next visit would be OK), the second time I had to leave because covid and I am not a dying cancer patient, I was sent home on a whim, I can't do anything if I usually order in an outpatient clinic from the emergency department, and after the fourth refusal to treat an acute problem, I have no recommendation from a doctor. Either I'm very unlucky, or everyone here is really arrogant and unpleasant. If I am not brought here by ambulance, I will never come to disturb the medical staff in Motola, but I only pay for medical insurance, and when I need something, I will not have to undergo a decent examination, which will be reported by the same hospital. I applaud.
The worst hospital of all, absolute chaos, my doctor sent me there for an examination, I wandered around here for an hour and asked all the staff around and at the receptions where I should go, each of them sent me somewhere else, in the final I went through almost all the floors and the department, where I was finally told that I would have to wait 2-3 hours before my turn came... The examination should have taken place immediately!
Excellent and dedicated people work in the intensive care unit of the 1st surgical department, in particular Nurse Daniela was fantastic. Further thanks to MuDR doctors. Valcha and MuDR. A traumatology dummy. Thank you for the operation and care during the first 7 days after the car accident that I received at FNMotol, you are doing well.
The dental ward has absolutely excellent staff. Last year I spent 2 weeks here and all the nurses, doctors and other staff were very nice, kind and helpful.
I gave birth here and am very happy.
I have never seen such a nice, sensitive and experienced staff!
Although the original natural birth became planned by the emperor, I was happy.
No one stopped me from seeing the baby when I needed to, and they left him in my room on request immediately upon arrival from the intensive care unit.
Before that, my son was taken to breastfeed and crumple. No one was in a hurry to return him as soon as possible and take him away.
Nurses, doctors, doctors, butlers, but all the staff treated me politely and kindly.
