I came from a deep province and it was scary to get into an unfamiliar environment, there were a lot of fears and doubts (how I would be alone after the operation, who would take care of the postoperative period, etc.). But the doubts went away by themselves.
Firstly, the clinic has excellent conditions for all patients. The wards are very clean and spacious, the wards are constantly being cleaned, there is everything necessary for patients: a refrigerator, and constantly hot water, they feed well, there are two showers.
Secondly, I would like to mention the senior and junior staff of the hospital. After all, they bear a great responsibility for us, the sick. Good afternoon, I entered the Russian Research Neurosurgical Institute named after Professor A. L. Polenov, Neurosurgical Department No. 1 in January 2020.
I was pleasantly surprised by the absolutely professional attitude and understanding of the issue by the staff of doctors, the equipment of the clinic, the speed of my rehabilitation. After removing the intervertebral disc and installing the implant, he was able to walk within a few hours after the operation. All methods are focused on the minimum of concomitant damage during surgery and the maximum speed of recovery of the patient. The neighbors on the ward are discharged 3-7 days after the operation, with their consent. The junior medical staff is always friendly and attentive. There is cleanliness all around, the corridor of the ward, toilets are washed without stopping, quite decent food is provided. Everything works: refrigerator, microwave, call buttons, toilet, shower.
I must express my great gratitude to my attending physician - Yu.V. Belyakov. At the first consultation, he clearly described my problem, treatment methods, recovery time, and answered all my questions. He monitored my condition every day after the operation. A friendly and pleasant doctor, but most importantly a professional approach. It was very nice to see such an attitude in our time.
Everything is done according to the compulsory medical insurance, no one has asked for additional money anywhere.
