The Russian Scientific Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics named after R. R. Vreden is the oldest and largest medical institution in Russia specializing in traumatology and orthopedics. It was founded in 1906 and has been continuously expanded and modernized since then. The medical center is good. The staff and doctors are qualified, knowledgeable. The score is reduced due to several factors.
The first is the factor of not organizing the process of visiting the institute from the admission department. The tent on the street, the entrance to the building, waiting for the process of receiving documents, not separating the flows leads to the fact that patients spend a lot of time waiting and not understanding. When I arrived to take a smear for covid, I stayed in the clinic for almost 3.5 hours, although the procedure took less than a minute. And many people came from other regions and republics to donate blood for skinny and waited in hungry queues. The analysis was carried out in the office where the dentist received and blood was taken for analysis here. The queue is shared, the doctors are different, but the confusion made the patients nervous and did not understand the process.
The second factor is the lack of a wardrobe. Things and outerwear were hung on some hangers in the corridor or just thrown on the seats.
The third factor was the process of hospitalization to the departments. Of course, a little faster, but everything is shrouded in some kind of mystery. All information should be extracted piecemeal from everyone you see. There is no clear process of admission of the patient with full information about where, what and how. Up to the daily routine, when the doctor will be and what to do.
Further, according to the VMI policy, there should be accommodation in a double room, and they placed it in a five-bed room. They explained everything by the fact that the wards are used for quarantine of visitors. We can agree with this in the current conditions, but the conditions in the chambers leave much to be desired. The batteries are hot, the valves on the batteries do not allow them to be adjusted, there is nothing to breathe, ventilation is poor, the window frames are not adjustable. If you open the window, it blows away at least three patients with a draft. Yes, in general, the chambers need repairs, including plumbing.
Nutrition does not lend itself to any criticism, there are no words, only letters. There is also no drinking water, water is poured into the kettle at the post from the tap. I would like to emphasize once again that the doctors and staff are qualified. Put things in order with the organization, accommodation and meals, and everything will be on top. Well, to begin with, it's not just,, hospital,,. It's much more than that. You feel it as soon as you took the first step through the threshold. Everything here is serious and businesslike. I've read a lot of different reviews. From disgusting to gorgeous. Apparently, someone was lucky. Or unlucky. Either the requirements are too high, or it's a matter of personality. I'll speak for myself. I was supposed to have an operation (hip replacement) in another place. Generally in Moscow. But by the Will of God (you can't say otherwise), I got into the 11th department of this institution. Because Moscow refused. All the documents were forwarded and the operation was scheduled in a time that I never dreamed of. I have a pathology. Excess weight. And yet the doctors did not back down. After warning me and setting me up in the right way, they performed the operation. And for 2 years now I have been living a normal life. I want to say that this is thanks to the entire staff of the 11th department of the Institute. Personally to doctors Shilnikov V. A., Denisov A. O. If they worked like THIS everywhere! Patient care is excellent. Everyone is attentive and polite. Cleanliness is at the highest level. Thanks to the efforts of the hostess's sister and the nurses. There is enough food. Well, you can never please everyone's tastes. EVERY medical worker of the department wants to ease your pain, discomfort, fear. It's very cool and there are NO BAD memories left, but only A HUGE GRATITUDE. I talked to patients from other departments. Few people said something bad. Everyone is very happy that they got here in,, Vreden,, as we all said. I want to note. During my entire stay, I did not have to pay anyone for anything out of my pocket. Moreover. There were people in the department on a paid basis. So the care and attitude of the doctors was equally wonderful to all of us. Of course, paid wards are more cozy. There is a TV, a bathroom here. Yes, and they are lying there in twos. But that's why they are paid. By the way, if you have the means and desire, then you can arrange to stay in such a ward (of course in advance) In ordinary wards, 4-5 people each. But there is a lot of space. You can sit in the corridor and watch TV. There is no tension. In the presence of wheelchairs, if it is difficult to go to the dressing while.Pharmacy employees will provide everything you need. Crutches, compression stockings, orthopedic pillows-you will get all this here, if you did not bring it from home. All fittings are in the ward. Everything is organized for nonresidents. Special taxi, delivery to the plane ramp or the door of the car. Who really needs what. It's paid, of course. But everything has already been worked out and there are no problems with transporting a loved one. The prices are quite reasonable. I want to repeat. Treatment here under the policy of compulsory medical insurance, VMI, quotas, for a fee.it's up to everyone to decide. I definitely recommend the R. R.
