The University Clinic in Krakow is a wide-profile medical institution in Poland, which unites 32 specialized departments and 60 polyclinics. Every year, more than 75,000 inpatients and over 380,000 outpatients are treated at the clinic.

The leading directions are:

  • oncology,

  • cardiology,

  • neurology,

  • obstetrics and gynecology,

  • traumatology.

The clinic is the only medical facility in Poland that treats rare endocrine diseases: acromegaly, panhypopituitarism, ACTH-dependent and ACTH-independent Cushing's syndrome, late adrenal hyperplasia. It is also only here that malignant tumors of the endocrine system are diagnosed and treated. The surgical department has been called the most high-tech and safe surgical department in Poland for 4 years in a row according to the authoritative edition of Newsweek. In 2008, specialists of the Department of Neonatology rescued and released five-year-olds who were born at 25 weeks of pregnancy with a weight of 570-800g. After the children were discharged from the Krakow clinic, the doctors continued to monitor their health on an outpatient basis and noted that the mental and physical development of these children corresponds to the development of full-term peers.

Drama. The doctor at the clinic is more than 2 hours late. None of the registrations deigned to call the patients, informing them about the delay and arrival later.
I would like to recommend the University Hospital in Krakow. I was placed in the clinical department of general, oncological, metabolic and emergency surgery. The care in the department was very good, later I met friendly doctors during visits to the clinic. The location and infrastructure of the hospital are very well organized and do not scare away patients.
A hospital whose services cannot be used, unfortunately. Several letters were sent to the hospital and more than 50 phone calls were made. Unfortunately, no one is answering or responding. It is a pity that such a well-equipped institution is not able to serve people who need help.
Stay away from this hospital! From Friday to Tuesday, I tried to get someone to examine me, because I was 11 weeks pregnant and I was bleeding! They sent me from the emergency department to the polyclinic to Building H, it turned out that there was only oncological gynecology, and told me to go back to the emergency department, and from there they sent me back to Copernicus, examined me and found that I had a miscarriage that could last 2 days, and told me to take me home. Unfortunately, 15 minutes after returning home, I had to call an ambulance, and, unfortunately, I was taken to Prokocim. None of the employees who rejected me could look me in the eye. If they had accepted me, then maybe they would have saved my child !!!
In 2015, I had a very serious traffic accident, in a hospital in my city, the doctors were afraid to start treatment, they immediately took me to this hospital, where I received professional help, and if Dr. X had not had an operation today, I would not have been there. who is a very good surgeon, and Mr. Y, who is an orthopedic surgeon, would not be in such great shape as today! I would recommend this hospital, because the doctors did a miracle that I survived a very serious frontal impact. I was 17 at the time. Now I am 21 years old, and I feel very good.

Great
Two months ago, I got into orthopedic surgery, and I was very pleasantly surprised. Professional medical care, empathy for the patient. High-level hospital - small cozy rooms with bathrooms adapted for orthopedic patients. I remember this hospital 30 years ago, when large wards for 7-10 people with a shared bathroom on the first floor prevailed. Only the red brick on the outside reminds us of this.
I am very grateful to the entire team of the Department of Orthopedics.
A modern hospital makes a good impression. The staff is doubled and tripled so as not to create a bad reputation at the start. A lot needs to be improved, but despite many inconveniences, this is the best hospital in Krakow.
About childbirth, I can say that there is very good care for the mother and the newborn child. This is my second child, but the first was born in this hospital.
One big bad experience. Zero professionalism of the staff. My mother had a catheter installed, and a few hours later the "doctor" came to apologize to my mother for putting her on the left side instead of the right side ...
Nurses, when asked what to take mothers, answer: "I can't tell you what is assigned to the patient."
And 20 minutes after serving breakfast (when mom hasn't eaten anything for 3 days), a nurse comes and says that mom can't eat because she has to have an ultrasound.
You know that ... there are no words about what this hospital represents with its staff. Doctors, know that a person is not plasticine and not a mannequin ... that it can be pierced, kneaded and thrown from place to place.
As you can see, the title of a doctor does not indicate skills, and in some cases even their absence.
For the doctor, this may be a different case ... for me or the people waiting by the bed, someone is very important.
I don't recommend it to anyone.
University Clinic in Krakow: The Clinical Department of Ophthalmology and Ophthalmological Oncology is a completely unsuitable place for patients.
Most of the patients are visually impaired people with vision problems. In the hospital, they encounter dark corridors, unlit stairs, incorrectly marked stairs (yellow lines drawn in the wrong places, without any logic, instead of making it easier to move along the dark stairs, they are a source of confusion), etc.
The rooms are described in small illegible letters / numbers-BLACK ON A BLACK BACKGROUND. It is difficult to read even for healthy people, not to mention the visually impaired. The place is completely inaccessible to people with disabilities.
Most of the doctors are young people, unfortunately, there are PSEUDO-DOCTORS among them, who, undoubtedly, were late for the appointment. Rude, they often show great impatience towards the elderly, who, due to their age, often have poor hearing. And only some of the employees are pleasant, friendly, helpful.
In general, I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone.
The emergency room is professional, and the rest of the specialists are very strange. I didn't get a proper consultation from a diabetologist. The surgeon refused to take it.
Special thanks for my help in the Clinical Department of Dermatology of the University Hospital at 50 Copernicus Street in Krakow and cured me of erythema multiforme for Prof. Dr. Hub. Anna, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences Alexander, Doctor of Medical Sciences, all the resident doctors, all the wonderful MEDICAL TEAM and the service team of the dermatological department.
I am full of gratitude for your hard and responsible work, professional approach to patients and a big heart for patients.
In a word, you are GREAT! Thanks again!!! :-)
Grateful patient Helena Kuznyar from Dembitsa
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Krushina and Mrs. Elzbieta Prus, a nurse. I know that today I was a difficult patient (the first gastroscopy), but thanks to you I felt completely safe. The approach to the patient, the pleasant atmosphere and calmness of Mrs. Elzbieta, even stroking my head helped me a lot! I would also like to thank the nice lady at the reception and the lady at the reception at the mammography and, I think, the security guard for directing me to the studio. Thank you very much!
After 12 hours in SOR, my mother was placed in the stroke department. I was going to bring her things. I rang the intercom and struck 20 minutes. Four nurses were sitting at the reception desk, heard and saw me, but none of them reacted and did not let me in. It is incredible that such standards still exist in the 21st century.
I have been waiting for ED for 6 hours, but I was ready for this, more severe patients arrive earlier. If someone has a scratched knee or constipation, it's difficult. Then examination and maxillofacial department. After 4 hours, the operation was performed on Saturday. A service I've never encountered in a hospital in my life. All nice responsive smiling people. Starting from cleaners, through nurses and ending with a professor. I am very grateful for the help and care provided. Thanks again to all the staff
