Dr. Karsten M. Philipp is the head of the Laser Medicine Center at the Evangelical Elisabethin Clinic in Berlin.

Main areas of work:

• Congenital vascular diseases: hemangiomas, vascular nevi, vascular malformations

• Acquired vascular diseases, such as varicose veins or spider veins

• Hemorrhagic telangiectasia (Osler's disease), chronic nosebleeds

• Diseases of the genitourinary system and proctological diseases, for example, hemorrhoids

• Oncological diseases, for example, the initial stages of cancer (dysplasia) of the skin of the anal-genital area, tumors of the colon, esophagus, etc.

• Respiratory diseases, such as chronic snoring or tracheal tumors

• Systemic diseases, e.g. Recklinghausen's neurofibromatosis, asymmetric hypertrophy syndromes
