As a person who was in the room on a visit (unplanned) after I got a serious head injury.
I have to say that I was shocked by the experience when the doctors treated me as a person, the nurses were very excellent, helpful and polite. Plus I have to say that I found some of the nurses to be very excellent, helpful, polite and sexy.
This person can't say anything bad about the room or the team as they were great.
The NSSU ward is next to Ward 15.
From September 11 to September 15, 2020, I underwent surgery for decompression of the lumbar spine.
During the operation, surgeons discovered that they had to perform a more complex procedure than originally planned in order to fully decompress the affected nerve. We hope that the extra attention will lead to a better result (still only 7 days after surgery, so early!). This shows how qualified and knowledgeable the surgeons are, that they found something unexpected and coped with it without any problems. Surgeons have given me even more chances to recover from the back disease that I have been suffering from for the last ten years!

The care provided by the medical staff was also at the highest level imaginable.
During my stay, I told several people that it was more like being in a spa than in a hospital. At times, I was embarrassed because I felt spoiled during my stay.
Everyone was polite, helpful and patient. There were no problems, and despite being very busy, the staff was able to find time to answer my questions and tell me about the details of the operation, as well as dispel all my worries and concerns.
I was worried about going to the hospital because of a previous stay in another hospital, which turned out to be a terrible experience - it was when my back first went uphill 10 years ago. Medications were postponed, and sometimes not given at all. When I complained to the ward nurse, I was told that "her staff doesn't have time to chase patients."

The motivation of the staff and the overall level of service here could not be more different. I really hope that I won't have to go to the hospital again, but if I do, I want to be under the care of the people who took care of me here again.
Thanks for the help to everyone who works in the NSSU department in RVI,
with respect
Jamie J.
Excellent service received from well-trained staff. I am very happy with the help that all the medical workers gave me, and they were all very responsive. I felt confident and comfortable after I passed all the tests. Definitely deserves a 5-star rating!
A very good impression. I was slightly injured, the staff was friendly and helpful, they seem to know what they are doing. The hospital looks new, modern and clean, the receptionist is friendly. I figured out everything in about 1 hour. Compared to A&E in London, where the waiting time is usually around 5 hours, this is much better.
I hope I won't have to visit medical institutions for a long time, but if I have to, I will be happy to use this hospital again.
The A&E department is great. I came with my husband, who had heart failure with complications. He was examined, examined and immediately provided with emergency care. The staff was professional and efficient, showing care and concern for both my husband and me. Their communication skills were excellent. I am very proud of our National Health Service.
This hospital is by far the best in the Northeast. I have been a patient in other Northeastern hospitals, and none of them came close to RVI perfection. This hospital is spotlessly clean, and every member of the staff I spoke to treated me so professionally and with the utmost respect. To be honest, it seems to me that you stayed in a hotel and not in a hospital, which, in my opinion, played an important role in my recovery after surgery. I can't recommend this hospital. If you are asked to choose a hospital in the northeast of the country, it is better to choose rvi.
The other day I was hospitalized in the emergency department at RVI due to a possible urinary tract or liver infection.
In a nutshell, the staff and organization were first class, including my blood tests and other tests I needed. There was only 2 hours of waiting in the emergency room, and then a nurse and blood and the first doctor who saw me. I stayed first. overnight in the evaluation department, where all the staff were wonderful. I was transferred to the ward for the last night and again excellent staff. Well, they changed my medications and sorted me out. They checked me very carefully, and I came out of the hospital better than when I entered there. The food was good too.
It makes you wonder why the NHS gets on the list so often, as I haven't seen any evidence of this. I would come back anytime if I was sick.
Well done, RVI
Having visited the endoscopy department on October 29, I would like to say how wonderful and caring all the staff is, from the cheerful administrator to the entire medical staff and Mr. Richard Brady. Thank you so much for your attentive and caring work. So it became easier to cope with a stressful situation. Now I am looking forward to the long-awaited hysterectomy with confidence in this wonderful hospital. thanks.
Obviously, people don't like visiting hospitals, so when they do, they want the experience to be as enjoyable as possible. I had to visit the outpatient department before and after closing for the same treatment. I had never been to RVI before and found it all soothing. The staff was excellent and the hospital was spotless.
I have lived all over the UK, and having multiple sclerosis since I was diagnosed at 20, I have been treated by many professional and caring NHS doctors and nurses, as well as all the rest of the staff. Now I live in Wonderful Newcastle and feel calm and safe knowing that I am getting better treatment from more wonderful people at RVI! My PC is being held back so much that I, my friends and my loved ones, forget that it exists! You make my life joyful!
Thank you for everything.
