Patient feedback on treatment:
Sankt Gertrauden Hospital in Berlin (Germany)

We publish only real reviews
This was my first experience of visiting a hospital in Germany for elective surgery, and overall it was pleasant. I don't speak German well, but the nurses were patient with me and all the doctors spoke English. The food was good and all the caretakers are friendly.
I am a foreigner, I live in Berlin and I don't speak German. I recently had an emergency when I was working at home (covid times) and the ambulance crew sent me to this hospital. I was not sure that I could get successful support in the hospital due to my lack of knowledge of German, but fortunately I was wrong. The doctors of the tree examined me before deciding on the operation, they were very clear and transparent about female doctors. My operation was considered simple. I spend 3 nights under observation before I am discharged from there, a doctor visited me every morning/afternoon, and every 2-3 hours a nurse was in my room to check or apply standard procedures. I am grateful to all the nurses who supported me all the time I stayed there, they did everything possible to make us communicate in English, and I really appreciate it.
The food is good, and they have a person responsible for organizing/offering the daily menu, which was decided together with me every day. (but it depends on your diet)
The reception staff and other staff are also very polite.
I was in the otolaryngology department of this hospital for three days and received good and competent treatment. The doctors and other staff were very nice and treated me well. They had a lot of patients, but still they were able to find time to talk to me personally and help me. The room and bed were clean, the food was quite decent for a hospital. When I arrived at the hospital, the waiting time for the initial consultation was about 2 hours. Since there were many other patients, especially with more serious injuries than mine, this was understandable. I am glad that I was able to recover in the hospital, thanks to the people who work there!
Before giving birth, I spent a week in St. Gertrauden. I had a great experience with doctors and midwives. Nothing special, this is a very high-quality care performed by very experienced professionals. I highly recommend it to everyone.
I was denied an emergency, I can't even believe it's possible. I had an operation on my arm at another hospital, which was very far away from me, it was late in the evening, and I was afraid for my wound and wanted them to examine it, but they told me to go to the hospital where I had the operation.
I haven't eaten since yesterday because my shoulder hurts a lot
This morning the doctor already gave me an injection, and they wanted to give me an injection again and recommended that I see an orthopedic surgeon on Monday, that is, on Friday evening, and I have been in pain for more than 24 hours
I went to another hospital, where they immediately took my blood, and they advised me not to take painkillers, because I had already taken too many of them! Now there is an orthopedic doctor who told me everything again, he examined me on the shoulder, as it should be. Fortunately, I left a place where they are only friendly... But I don't understand any of this!
I sincerely hope that we will never see each other again
After 2 hospitals spontaneously canceled my appointments for surgery, I was referred by a medical insurance company. Before making an appointment, I went to the outpatient clinic for an hour-long allergy consultation. I felt that I was very warmly received and treated with knowledge of the matter. The appointment for the operation was scheduled on time, and now I am lying in ward 14 (ENT), just operated on, and I would like to sincerely thank ALL the staff. The operation was a little slow, but I was looked after with warmth all the time, and my fears and worries were always taken seriously and never belittled. I am very happy that I have "landed" here. Without exception, doctors, nurses, nurses, cleaners (sorry again for my mess)), receptionists and receptionists were very, very nice, polite and helpful!
My room is very clean and I also really like the food.
I went to the gastroscopy clinic, and I have to say that everything, from admission to rehabilitation, was really great. I've never seen anything like it anywhere else. A great compliment to all the staff of the clinic, you really have nothing to worry about and you feel in safe hands!
I had to give birth to my daughter here by emergency Caesarean section on June 2, 2021. In fact, I was registered at the maternity hospital because I was afraid to give birth in the hospital. But the doctors, midwives and medical staff were so nice and professional that, despite the circumstances, I felt very comfortable and understood me. In the department, my concerns, questions and concerns were taken seriously and considered in detail. Thanks to the team.
She was admitted today to the emergency clinic of the eye department with a diagnosis of Vitreomacular traction from June 1 to June 21. Although I told the doctor that my vision deteriorated dramatically within 2 days and I was blurred only on the left. The eye can see that I have been denied medical care with the words that I am not an emergency, and they also have no way to treat me. How can a doctor refer to a diagnosis made 14 days ago and say that I am not an emergency patient without examination?
I had to spend an extra hour to get there because I've only heard good things and now I'm just disappointed.
