Patient feedback on treatment:
St. Mary's Hospital in Seoul (South Korea)

We publish only real reviews
They literally saved my life with an emergency operation, and they were all very kind, kind and professional
I came here extremely ill and weak, I could barely walk. I was refused help because a TV show/movie was being filmed in the lobby.
Wonderful doctors with a wealth of knowledge. The staff of the International Center was wonderful and extremely helpful.
This was my fourth visit to the hospital in five years. There is experience in pediatric and adult diagnostics, surgery and postoperative rehabilitation of a seriously ill person. So I'm not writing by hearsay. There is something to compare with, in addition to this hospital, there was a one-time visit to another clinic in South Korea, St. Mary's is better.
The hospital looks more like an expensive hotel than a hospital.
Spacious halls, beautiful decoration, comfortable and calm, attentive and polite staff. A good indicator for me is that after we have passed the honey. the service of my daughter two years ago, she constantly asks when we will go there again. The child perceived the hospital as an interesting adventure!
The first floor is a cafe, a reception (in our understanding), an ambulance registration and a pediatric pediatric department. At the expense of excellent toilets, changing rooms and recreation areas, I will not write further, they are on all floors. On the ground floor there is a pharmacy, restaurants and grocery stores. Aquariums with fish, comfortable chairs, like at a resort. The floors above the first one are medical offices, surgery and a hospital. The clinic provides almost all medical services. At the entrance there are baby strollers with an equipped mobile IV stand and wheelchairs, if the patient needs it, just take it and that's it. There are free devices with hot and cold drinking water on the territory of the entire hospital.
The most important thing is an excellent diagnosis! A full examination takes place in half a day, no discomfort, painful procedures, standing in queues at offices, etc. The whole process goes like this: come to the clinic in the morning, fill out the documents. The patient is given an electronic bracelet with a chip and pajamas. We change clothes, leave our things in the booth (it is closed with the same electronic bracelet) and go through the offices, where the translator will show you. In all corridors and halls in front of the offices there are sofas, coffee tables with newspapers and magazines, a TV on the wall. Wi-Fi is available everywhere. There is a monitor at the door to the office, we approach, apply our bracelet and sit on the sofa, waiting for the call. And so it is for all doctors. You don't have to wait anywhere for a long time, the system is worked out.
The average cost of a full examination of an adult is $ 1000-1300, depends on the patient's desire, you can remove something, add something, then the price changes. You can meet 600, but this is without tomography and narrow specialists.
For foreigners, an interpreter is provided for the entire period. During the examination, the translator will lead you around the offices and translate every word of the doctors.
In two or three days (in different ways) it will be necessary to approach for the results of the examination. Consultation with a doctor is paid, optional. The doctor will tell everything in detail, show and prescribe treatment (if necessary), prescribe the necessary medicine exactly in the amount that will be needed for the course of treatment, not a single tablet more. The package of medicines is collected individually for each patient directly in the clinic, paid additionally. You don't have to buy.
This is about the examination, and now the treatment...
We had the experience of contacting surgeons in this clinic. I will not write personal details, but for general information I will tell you how it goes. We had a very difficult case.
Before prescribing surgery, doctors study the patient's situation for a long time. Several doctors gather, consult, make a decision. If doctors are not sure of a positive result, be sure to notify in detail. The main division is not to harm.
Finding a patient in a hospital is expensive, so no one is kept for a long time. As soon as there is an opportunity for outpatient treatment, they are discharged. If you are willing to pay, then no one is forcibly expelled. There are wards for one person, and there are two or three people, but everyone has their own personal space. Each bed is technically difficult to equip, which helps a person to change the position independently by pressing a button. There is no need to constantly ask someone for help. The patient's personal area is separated by a screen, an individual TV in front of the bed (this is about bedridden patients), a nurse call button, one has only to press, in a second the medic is already next to all the necessary things for first aid to the patient.
Those patients who can get up, but they need a permanent drip or devices are connected, they are provided with a mobile stand to which all the tubes are attached, etc., they can go for a walk without assistance, move around the hospital and go outside, go to a cafe or shop. A rack on wheels, lightweight and at the same time additionally serves as a support for weakened patients. A person does not feel helpless and not comfortable.
It is also easy to move around in a wheelchair, there are no obstacles, everything is provided.

When choosing a clinic, despite the fact that I have repeatedly been treated in Korea, I was helped to choose the option that was optimal in this difficult time. After sending my documents, within a few days, I received the conclusion of a professor from the clinic at St. Mary's University about the need for urgent surgery.THANK you so much! I wish you health, happiness, professional success and prosperity.

Great
I want to thank the staff and doctors of the clinic. The treatment went well, I am very satisfied. I want to thank the administration of the clinic and note the service staff – I am very pleased.
We came from Kazakhstan for examination. We liked everything very much, top-class specialists. Everything was done promptly and without fear, we are very satisfied.
The main thing is that they didn't find anything wrong with us, we have to move and work. Thanks to all the employees.
The stay in the hospital left the most favorable impressions. First of all, the professionalism of the welcoming group, the doctor. Everything was at a high level. Painless, pleasant. In general, I recommend this hospital if you have any health problems.
We are from Kazakhstan, we have arrived. I was very worried about the child's health, in Kazakhstan we were told that the child does not need surgery. But we came to Korea anyway, we were very well received, then the professor told us that the operation was needed. I agreed, we had an operation, the operation was successful. I am very glad that I was here, thanks to everyone, to all the medical workers, to the girl who went with me. Thank you all.
We stayed here for 2 weeks, had a successful operation, then had chemotherapy. I am very satisfied. My wife and daughter are with me, they are also happy. I think further treatment will benefit. The medical staff here is very good, attentive, disciplined. Thanks to them a lot, thanks to the professor who performed the operation, thanks to all the doctors who took care of us. Thank you all very much. See you soon.
The doctors and nurses are kind. The premises are clean. The hospital is close to the metro station and the express bus terminal, so it is convenient to get there by public transport.

Patient treated Asthma in the clinic St. Mary's Hospital in Seoul (South Korea)

Great
I have been a patient here for three years (for allergic asthma) and the service has always been good. But there is a long waiting time for your first appointment or examinations (4+ weeks for busy departments) and a higher cost than clinics, but this is to be expected from university hospitals in South Korea. Nurses are polite, facilities are good, doctors seem knowledgeable. I spoke Korean with them, so if you don't speak Korean, your stay here can be very different. I also had health insurance, so be prepared to empty your wallet if you don't have health insurance. finally, if you are not a lawful permanent resident, you may not get the best care from them as you will most likely not be a regular customer. But this applies to every hospital in Korea.
This hospital does not provide breastfeeding for newborns. Accommodation in the room is prohibited. There is only one nursing room per person in the entire maternity ward, so each mother is allowed one 30-minute breastfeeding interval per day. The nurses and doctors are great but the hospital policy is not.
Our experience as international patients has been far from what the hospital professes with its lofty Catholic mission to care. My sense is this place exists to make money more than to provide compassionate care. Precious little explanation or kindness can be found by their administrative staff, only astronomical bills given for 1 minute "consultations" with a doctor and lengthy tests at a pricetag that makes one more ill.
The ophthalmologist took good care of me. Thank him very much.
Convenience in everything from hospitalization to discharge, booking, care and treatment is close to ideal. I am impressed with the medical staff.
The doctors at the hospital are friendly, they explained all the nuances of my disease well.
I am very pleased with the service, and if I get sick, I only want to come back here.
I was examined or treated in several departments of this hospital. I was satisfied with most of the procedures. As for the diagnostics, it is very accurate and detailed.
Great dedicated professionals having extensive  knowledge  and expertise  in the field  of  neurosurgery, Prof Park and Prof Kim, who are providing  world class treatment  and post op care .  It's not only professional  care but with the humanly attitude  with empathy  and respect.
Their  pts are lucky enough to  have  such wonderful  people  who  dedicate  themselves  for their  patients sacrificing their  own  comforts even at odd hours  .
I rate their  services as 200% .
