Patient feedback on treatment:
Tokuda Hospital in Sofia (Bulgaria)

We publish only real reviews
Doctors are different in level. There are very good and attentive ones, but there are a minority of them. There is one thing in common for everyone: to get to the appointment at the time for which you are booked, you need to come an hour and a half before the recording time and stand in a live queue. That is, an appointment is pure fiction.
After staying here for a week for triple hernia surgery, I discovered the high standards of ALL employees from cleaners to management. If there is criticism, then they really should change the food menu, perhaps the European menu. This is as an idea. I am currently preparing for vascular surgery, and this is the only place I would like to consider. Keep it up, you're all amazing.
Unfortunately, Tokuda is no longer the same, it used to be the best clinic in Bulgaria, now there are almost no good doctors left, the prices are insane, and most importantly, there is zero treatment, recently we were with acute respiratory infections, we were paid 100 lev for being prescribed aspirin. Today we arrived with skin problems, paid 70 lev, the doctor was clearly incompetent, looked with glass eyes, prescribed zinc ointment. Thank you for the zinc, for 70 lev...
Hi! Last week I had a rare operation in the vascular surgery department at Tokuda Clinic. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the team that performed the operation: Dr. Stefan Stefanov DM, team leader, Dr. Vlado Galachev, Dr. Dimitar Nikolov, anesthesiologist Dr. Yasny Getsov! Thank you for the daily care of young vascular surgeons, for the tireless efforts of a small army of nurses, service personnel, people who take care of the hygiene and diet of patients! I would like to thank the Department of Intensive Care, Cardiology Dr. George Tmenov and Dr. Silvia Georgieva, neurologist Dr. Mateev, diagnostic Department! Thank you all for your professionalism, I have never seen rough treatment anywhere for allowing yourself to get sick and that you are part of their work! Be healthy to practice this so noble profession and help people in need!!!
I, Irina Baryaktarevich (Nesterova), would like to wholeheartedly thank the managers and staff of the Tokuda Clinic for their highly qualified and compassionate attitude, treatment and care for their patients!I would especially like to express my gratitude and appreciation to the chief anesthesiologist, Professor Nikolai Mladenov and the head of the gynecological department, Associate Professor Peter Markov, who directly participated in saving my life, taking into account and respecting my religious beliefs! As a Jehovah's Witness, I underwent a complex operation in the abdominal cavity without blood transfusion, resuscitation and rehabilitation therapy, after which I was discharged on the 8th day! I feel good now! And I am happy that my co-believers organized my treatment in this wonderful clinic, where they are so attentive and responsible to the rights of patients!

My uncle was admitted for surgery on 15.11.2019. He was told that he needed to do a valve replacement + two shunts! Before the operation, we are convinced that everything is in order, and the operation will be successful! But, unfortunately, after the operation something went wrong, and the doctors said that there was something not deflated around the heart and there was some fluid... I wonder why no one said before the operation that there is a chance to stay on the table and a big risk to life! Almost a healthy person... we let him die...
A good hospital. Attentive staff. It is difficult for a foreigner to understand the corridor plan. Long queues. Even if you come on time by appointment, you still wait in line for a long time.
A lot of waiting and no organization... I had a meeting at 9:00, and I was accepted at 12:30. They tell you to wait, and forget about you. If you're not cheeky, they won't get to you.
Incredibly rude attitude in the Department of internal Medicine, no order or organization, no one explains to you what will happen next after registration. The attitude of the nurse and the doctor was arrogant and nervous. Elderly patients are forced to wait hungry for hours for studies, without information on admission. Samples such as blood and urine tests are given in a non-sterile state, patients carry them in their pockets. A very unhygienic environment, given the situation with covid 19.
I thought that only good specialists work in this hospital. But no! I went and paid 75 lei for examinations, which is not cheap at all, and another 65 lev for ultrasound. And I expected to get a high-quality examination. The doctor prescribed me an antibiotic. I told him straight out that I was allergic to penicillin, and he assured me that there was no penicillin in the antibiotic, and that was fine. Thank God, I read the instructions before starting the reception. This doctor was going to kill me! Beware of the people from this hospital!
There may be good doctors there, but there are also a lot of incompetent ones there! I returned the antibiotic to the pharmacy and they were also outraged!
Two weeks ago, my father was admitted to the dermatology department, but I do not know how we got into the intensive care unit with kidney failure. Today he was discharged from there in a terrible condition without an epicrisis, without an explanation of the condition, without treatment. The important thing is that they absorbed a decent amount at the expense of one human life.Never go there, but never!
I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Asen Tsekov, a neurosurgeon from Acibadem City Clinic Tokuda Hospital, for his hard work and high professionalism, for not hesitating for a second and responding quickly and saving on March 4, 2021. and I replaced the valve system in the cerebellum caused by hydrocephalus with my daughter Dorothea Dimitrova. The operation was successful. Thanks to this young and ambitious doctor who is ready to sacrifice time and nerves for the sake of people's lives. Bulgaria needs such professionalism! Be alive and well!
Special thanks to Dr. Medzhidieva and Dr. Rendezvous for their attention and professionalism.
We sincerely thank all the doctors, nurses and orderlies of the neurological department. May God bless you and your loved ones. Thanks for everything.
The most pathetic and arrogant medical staff I've ever met. I came in on Sunday afternoon, and after 2 hours of waiting and watching the nurses and administrators conduct business, I decided to leave. I read bad reviews before I arrived, but unfortunately decided to give this place a chance. I ended up wasting time and time dealing with nasty and arrogant employees.
Terrible attitude! If you are referred, they look at you not as a patient, but as a client! I am disappointed, and Dr. Dilyana Nikolova (specialist in internal medicine and nephrology) did not even explain the problem properly. In addition, she was on the phone and wanted me to leave her office as soon as possible, explaining my problem in two sentences. I lost only 3 hours of precious time standing in queues for research, and an X-ray that she didn't even see afterwards!
