The MHH received its first patient in 1971, but research and training of medical personnel have been conducted here since 1965. The high professionalism of the medical staff allows you to reduce the time of patients' stay in the hospital to 7 days, and the clinic serves more than 525 thousand people annually. The huge area of 40 hectares and high capacity allow this institution to be considered the largest in Western Europe.

Being the hallmark of the State of Lower Saxony and the city of Hanover, the clinic receives stable funding, the most advanced equipment and funds for scientific research (which employs more than 1,200 employees!). Complex medical cases are the direct specialization of the clinic staff. It provides a full range of medical services, including in the following areas:

  • oncology;

  • orthopedics;

  • neurology;

  • neurosurgery;

  • transplantology;

  • endocrinology;

  • cardiology;

  • plasticsurgery;

  • obstetricsandgynecology;

  • ophthalmology;

  • dentistry.

The clinic is the leading medical institution in Germany in the field of stem cell research and transplantation, regenerative medicine and the fight against infectious diseases. The clinic is located in the Gross-Buchholz district near the Zoological Garden Hanover Tiergarten. The clinic has its own private park.

Patient feedback on treatment:
University Hospital of Hannover (Germany)

We publish only real reviews
The largest hospital in Niedersacksen. The territory of the complex can be compared with a small town. Professional doctors and doctors in all areas work here. In one place, you will receive qualified help for your body. The staff is friendly, friendly, always ready to answer your questions and clarify if necessary.
My friend died of cancer. Our doctors treated him, the diagnosis was made quickly, they said that the stage was no longer early and they did not guarantee a positive outcome. They operated, and about a month later my friend was gone… When I found out that I also had cancer, I did not doubt for a second that I would go abroad for treatment. I decided to look for a place to get treatment in Germany. The choice fell on the INN clinic in Germany. At the moment I am still in the clinic and undergoing treatment, but I feel great. Regular tests did not reveal cancer cells in the body. It is a pity that a friend was not taken to this clinic for treatment, here he had a chance of a successful outcome.
I have always been treated very well and quickly. Excellent and pleasant staff. Excellent care.
I am very satisfied. The staff was very pleasant, from security to drivers, from nurses to doctors. I felt very well, I was taken care of. I received help very quickly in the emergency department and immediately got into the ward. The rooms are clean and functional. The food is good and sufficient. The TV was a bit outdated and there was only one in the room. Which I personally find too little. In another hospital, I saw that each bed has a small TV with headphones. Otherwise, I was very happy with my stay.
For several years in a row I could not get rid of the head tremor. I have been to a neurologist more than once, who simply prescribed vitamins and that was the end of the treatment. Thanks to my daughter, who insisted on being examined and treated at a clinic in the city of Hanover. I was examined by a professor. There were many tests and various diagnostics. I still didn't understand what I had, but after a couple of weeks of injections and medication, my tremor completely disappeared. In addition, chronic fatigue and drowsiness disappeared. I don't trust our doctors anymore. Only pumping out money. By the way, I do not know how much the treatment cost. She paid for her daughter and does not admit it. But it's not about the price, it's about the result. And I am very happy with it!

My husband underwent a pancreas and kidney transplant in August 2018. Better care, especially in the intensive care unit, could not be desired. But the care was also the best of the best in the ward. We thank the entire excellent team for excellent medical care and caring for people. We felt safe, especially my husband.
I have already had several unsuccessful experiences with MHH. You are being sent all over the hospital with pain. The staff gives the impression that you need to be grateful if you are heard at all. You should also wait a few hours.

My wife was diagnosed with a stomach tumor. The doctors said that she needed an urgent operation, but they did not have the opportunity to perform it at the moment. Every day of waiting could cost my wife's life, so I decided to go to Germany, as I had heard a lot of good things about the medicine of this country. He brought his wife to MY clinic, where she was immediately sent for examination, after which she was urgently operated on. After the operation, the doctors told me that if we had applied later, the prognosis would have been disappointing.

I had a liver transplant at MH 25 years ago, and I'm still amazed at how well I'm being taken care of professionally..
The hospital is excellent, the staff is very friendly, and the nurses take very good care of the patients and devote a lot of time to themselves.
Despite the rules of the crown, I felt comfortable and safe. Staff, nurses, doctors, despite the large number of patients, are always open. The ward was great. Thanks again. Sincerely, B.-B.
Great hospital, great care and patient care. You saved my life and did a great job. Thank you from the bottom of my heart !!!
